PUR Glue Binding
The most durable binding glue available, PUR adhesive offers design flexibility for any number of applications, including catalogs, instruction manuals and art books. PUR glue forms a strong bond on sheets layered with heavy ink and coating material, something standard adhesives cannot do. Able to withstand climate changes, PUR glue works just as well in humidity as it does in near-freezing temperatures. PUR glue is so strong, in fact, it even holds together underwater.
Layflat Adhesive Binding
Sometimes, It's just gotta layflat. Detached spines allow books to the flexibility to layflat on any page. Seaboard's licensed OtabindTM system is great for longer runs, and offers the benefit of concealing the invisible tape on the inside cover. Our licensed RepKoverTM system is ideal for shorter runs, and places only one hinge score on the outside front cover, giving you projects a clean, professional look.
Euro Binding (tape)
Similar to layflat adhesive binding, Euro binding was made available to the New England graphic arts community for the first time by Seaboard Bindery. Euro Binding, or "Swiss Brochure," features a completely detached front cover, which will expose an attractive cloth lining that holds book pages together. The cloth liner, or tape, is available in may colors and textures. Functional and unique, Euro Binding is appropriate for runs of any size or scope.

Mechanical Binding is a useful and economical binding option. Seaboard Bindery offers a variety of mechanical binding solutions to allow you the maximum in design flexibility.
Wire-O
Also known as "double loop" binding, Wire-O binding is among the most attractive and versatile binding options available. Produced using pre-formed wire loops bound in pairs down the spine, Wire-O-bound books are commonly found as cookbooks, calendars, and user manuals. At Seaboard, our three top-of-the-line inserters can handle all Wire-O diameters, including 1 1/4". By offering the flexibility of folding the cover 360 degrees to lie flat on any page, Wire-O binding possibilities are limitless.
Wire-O binding is sturdy and available in an array of colors, including PMS matched shades. It can be used with multiple stock weights and sizes, like all mechanical binding styles. Index tabs, die cuts and foldouts can easily be added to enhance your project's design. We also offer several cover options that will expose or hide the binding, including semi-concealed, split back, fully-concealed and wraparound style spines.
Plastic Spiral
Flexible, child-safe, and durable, plastic spiral binding also offers the layflat and 360 degree turning capability of Wire-O. Often used for the same types of products as Wire-O, plastic spiral binding is formed by coiling a length of plastic binding material down the spine of a book. Round Cornering
Round Cornering
Round cornering is valued for both aesthetic and functional purposes. In this process, the corners at the face of a book are rounded using a die, which helps prevent unwanted damage such as "dog ears". Seaboard Bindery can perform round cornering for adhesive-bound, mechanically-bound and saddle-stitched books.
